COVID-19
What are some safety tips for playing tennis?
At Tennis 4 Kidz, the health and safety of you and your child remain our top priorities. If you or your child are feeling unwell or have a sick household member, we kindly ask that you cancel your lesson and reschedule at your convenience.
To help reduce the risk of infections, we recommend frequent handwashing, minimizing contact with shared surfaces, and maintaining a safe distance from others. If you have any concerns, please feel free to reach out to Coach Zack directly.
COVID-19 symptoms can range from mild to severe, with onset occurring 2–14 days after exposure. Symptoms may initially appear mild but can progress. It’s essential to monitor for signs and seek medical attention promptly if needed.
Staying informed is crucial to prevent the spread of the virus. Potential symptoms vary based on vaccination status and emerging variants and may include:
-
Fever or chills
-
Cough
-
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
-
Sore throat
-
Congestion or runny nose
-
New loss of taste or smell
-
Fatigue
-
Muscle or body aches
-
Headache
-
Nausea or vomiting
-
Diarrhea
The CDC continually updates guidance as new information becomes available. Stay vigilant and proactive in protecting yourself and others.
Given the current circumstances, prioritizing your health and the well-being of those around you is essential. If you experience symptoms that cannot be attributed to another cause, please stay home and avoid contact with others, including those in your household.
For individuals at higher risk of severe illness, seeking prompt medical attention for testing and treatment is highly recommended, as this can help reduce the likelihood of complications.
To identify emergency warning signs for COVID-19, it’s important to be aware of the following symptoms:
-
Trouble breathing
-
Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
-
Confusion
-
Inability to wake or stay awake
-
Changes in skin tone, such as discoloration of lips, nail beds, or skin
If any of these symptoms are present, seek medical attention immediately. Contact 911 or your local emergency facility and inform them that you or someone you know may be experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. For any other severe or concerning symptoms, please consult your medical provider promptly.
Both Influenza (Flu) and COVID-19 are contagious respiratory illnesses spread from person to person. However, they are caused by different viruses: COVID-19 is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while the flu is caused by influenza viruses.
Although some symptoms overlap, it’s not possible to distinguish between the two based on symptoms alone. Fortunately, certain PCR tests can detect both flu and COVID-19 simultaneously. Where these tests are unavailable, many testing locations provide separate tests for flu and COVID-19.
